Melissa Anderson - "The Way I See It"

Image
"The Way I See It" Melissa Anderson      I have seen many episodes of Little House on the Prairie, enough to know what is what and who is who. I have come to enjoy episodes from time to time when nothing else is on. I am in no way a die hard fan.  "The Way I See It" by Melissa Anderson, talks about her time on the show, as she played Mary. A lot of it is synopsis of many of the episodes she is in, as well as behind the camera.  It was an easy read for me, and probably one of the quickest in 3 days. She talks about how she was close to Michael Landon and his family. Mr. Landon also casted her in a movie based some-what on his life in "The Loneliest Runner."  Melissa talks about her other projects but mostly Little House.  The book is copyrighted back in 2011, and was available at one of my local libraries.  If you are in deed a fan of Little House, I would recommend this book.  I give it 4/5 stars.

Tom Selleck - "You Never Know"

"You Never Know" By Tom Selleck This morning of the 15th of May, I finished reading Tom Selleck's memoir "You Never Know." Just a coincidence I was reading the chapter of his book regarding the late Frank Sinatra yesterday, May 14th...the anniversary of his death. What a coincidence! I received the book from the library 2 days after the release. It is a 14 day loan because of it. I read it in 6 days.  To be honest, I did read a review of it prior to reading it myself. I'm a HUGE Tom Selleck fan. That reviewer was disappointed and wrote that it was more of a resume with a lot of name dropping. She was also disappointed that he could not describe things, such as emotions... oh-kay. The review did not deter me from reading it myself.  What that reviewer was talking about was that Tom could NOT describe how he felt regarding situations that resulted in co-workers/crew deaths. One, a helicopter crash on Magnum PI, where his double, died...the other deaths occur...

Intro

My Intro Okay, this blog is about all the memoirs I either have read, or tried to read.  I have utilized the local library for my books, given that I can't spend $30.00 on every book I want to read. Although, by buying a book, you are also supporting a writer. But unfortunately i cannot do that at this time. So I'm grateful that we still have libraries...probably until they ban every book on this planet as controversial.  I would rather have a hard copy of a book rather than Ebooks on my tablet or phone. With a book, you don't have to rely on a battery and you don't strain your eyes with the blue light. You don't also have to worry about it malfunctioning either. Book in hand, you can read whenever you want, and get the joy of turning a page.  ---------------- I will read a book if I can get past the first 2 pages to a page. I have attempted many books, but often many authors are too detailed in their books, or just not as interested in them as I hope to be. This bl...
